Pensoft to attend the IAVS 68th Annual Symposium in Gijón, Spain

From 22-26 June 2026, Pensoft Publishers will be joining the 68th annual International Association for Vegetation Science (IAVS) Symposium in Gijón, Spain.

Hosted at the Laboral City of Culture, the symposium under the theme “Understanding Ecosystems through Vegetation” features a rich programme of plenary and parallel sessions, mid-symposium excursions, and dedicated meetings with the IAVS working groups.

During the symposium, Pensoft will have a designated stand and present its journal portfolio, with a spotlight on its vegetation science titles such as Vegetation Ecology and Diversity (VED) and Vegetation Classification and Survey (VCS), the newest IAVS journal, launched in partnership with ARPHA in 2020. One of the recent VCS editorials reflects on the journal's success, growth, and impact over the past five years, highlighted by a significant boost in performance with projected 2024 metrics to reach a CiteScore of 3.6 and an Impact Factor of 2.7 - figures that were surpassed by the journal's 2025 results.

This year's symposium also offers an exciting opportunity for the community to meet members of the Vegetation Classification and Survey Editorial Board in person.
